The IS 302 practicum is a continuation of IS 375 and provides further training in the teaching of Italian as a foreign language. It is required to all GSIs teaching an Italian language course. Each semester the practicum focuses on concrete didactic issues (i.e. teaching with technology in Spring 2016; teaching students with learning disabilities in Fall 2015). Its purpose is to support and help GSIs to develop a repertoire of teaching techniques and to meet a variety of teaching situations.
Prerequisites: GSI status in the Department of Italian Studies.
