Sole Anatrone holds a Ph.D. in Italian Studies with a Designated Emphasis in Women and Gender Studies from the University of California, Berkeley. Her interests include film, gender, race, immigration and queer studies as well as contemporary Italian literature and language. She is currently researching representations of women in the context of the current immigration influx in the Mediterranean basin. Sole completed her B.A. at Smith College, in Massachusetts.
