Department Tutoring & Conversation

After a two-year hiatus due to the Covid 19 pandemic, the Department of Italian Studies is offering again free Italian language peer-tutoring, starting last semester, Fall 2022.

We are able to offer this opportunity, now and in the past, only thanks to the incredible generosity and availability of our undergraduate peer tutors.

In 2022-23, peer-tutoring sessions will be offered only online, to keep safe both tutors and tutees, as the pandemic is not over yet.

Free weekly tutoring for all students at the Italian elementary and intermediate levels and free conversation sessions in Italian for ALL levels of Italian!  Offered every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday afternoon, starting on January 31st, 2023.

Please remember that tutoring cannot substitute for a regular language course, however, it’s really a great way to review and practice Italian.

You can book your free 15-minute session on this page.

For questions about this service, and/or for volunteering as tutors in the future, please contact Dr. Giuliana Perco.

Please, be considerate: if your schedule changes and you cannot attend your booked tutoring appointment, cancel your reservation as soon as possible, so that another student could book that time slot.

Please note: No tutoring is offered during Spring break and during RRR and finals weeks.
